Summer 2020

In response to COVID-19 the BHPS Board has canceled most in person activities for the summer and plans to instead provide a rich set of online information and activities. The BHPS events page, found here, will be updated on a regular basis.

BHPS Summer Digital Media Intern – BHPS is looking for a digital media intern for the summer. Information on the internship, including qualifications and how to apply can be found here.

Online Membership and Donations – new this year is the ability to make online payments for membership or financial donations to BHPS.

BHPS Museum – Shady Grove, the BHPS Museum will be open by appointment only. The updated Shady Grove webpage highlights how the Museum was acquired and moved by BHPS.

In celebration of Maine’s Bicentennial the exhibit “200 years of Maine History from BHPS collections” is displayed in the community room of the Community Hall.

Bayside (and the Region) in the Movies provides a list of movies that were filmed in the region and include anecdotal information on local locations or people in the movies.

How I Came to Maine will feature short stories, taken from the Oral Histories highlighting the different ways Bayside was discovered and shared with others within our community. This page will be updated regularly so check back to see how your friends, family and neighbors discovered the community.
